Eigentlich wollte Motorola noch im Januar das Milestone auf die Androidversion 2.0.1 bringen – schaffte es aber bisher nur in den USA und Frankreich. Nun ist der Januar zweifellos vorüber und nach einigen wütenden Protesten aus der Community gibt es eine offizielle Reaktion in der Facebook Gruppe von Motorola Europe. Zu meiner Überraschung gibt es auch eine Stellungnahme zum Bootloader des Milestone, der im Gegensatz zum US-Brudergerät Droid selbstgebackene Android-Roms verhindert:

We want to thank you again for all your posts – we are paying attention and doing our best to resolve the issues you’ve raised.
Many of you have been waiting (very patiently!) for the Android 2.0.1 update – we started the rollout in January and while we intended to complete it then, the testing/approvals process is still ongoing and we apologise that it could not be finalised on schedule. We don’t want to provide you with any incorrect information, so as soon as we receive confirmed final dates, we’ll definitely share this with you. We will also provide progress reports to share how everything is going
- hopefully we’ll have more details to share as early as this Wednesday, 3 February.For custom ROMs, we’ve relayed your feedback and requests to our internal product teams and will continue to do so.
We’re not sure what the response will be, but we want to be clear that we frequently share your feedback and requests with the proper internal channels, and appreciate your input.As for Moto Pic Monday, we’re sorry that this post seemed insensitive to some Milestone owners experiencing difficulty with the camera focus – we dislike fuzzy photos as much as you do and we’re working on that. UPDATE: Der heutige Mittwoch (3.2.) ist als Datum entfernt worden und auch der Hinweis darauf, dass die Antwort der intern Verantwortlichen zum signierten Bootloader unterschiedlich ausfallen kann. Die entsprechenden Passengen sind nun durchgestrichen.
